There are many ways to support the return of football at Santa Clara.

First, be informed. If you're a student, take the time to learn about the history of the program and why it played -- and can play -- an important role in the University community. If you're an alumnus, take the time to look back on your days at SCU and what it meant to you in your life. Stay informed with events on campus and within athletics that will lead to an environment where football can return to Santa Clara.

Next, spread the word. Talk to your friends and colleagues about this web site, and why football would add back to the campus and community in ways far beyond the confines of Buck Shaw Stadium. If someone tells you Santa Clara can't afford football, or can't compete in football, or even that it would hurt other sports, tell them otherwise.

If you are interested in participating in these efforts, join our e-mail list. There is no obligation required to get involved in our efforts, but if you are interested in making a gift to advance these efforts, we'd like to hear from you.

Support the Bronco Bench. No matter what your stand on football, continue to support the University and its student-athletes. The successes enjoyed by our men's and women's teams can enrich many facets of campus and community life. Your support also maintains a constituency for football within the Bench when the discussion is renewed within the University.

Finally, be positive. The entire focus of this effort is positive. It is not about who did what or why, and will not engage in finger-pointing or name calling. None of that will bring back what has been lost. Bronco football has been absent from the SCU campus since 1993. That is past history. The Foundation is interested in making new history.
